Andy Filmore Kirk age 38 a resident of 357 Loop Road Belhaven, NC died Thursday, December 19, 2019.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Wades Point Pentecostal Holiness Church. The family will receive friends in the fellowship immediately following the service.
Andy was born in Beaufort County on February 18, 1981 the son of Thomas Jackson Kirk and Myrtle S. Kirk. Andy graduated from NorthSide High School where he played basketball and was MVP his senior year, he then went on to UNC Wilmington for three years, but his real love was the water. He once told his brother that being out on the boat was the only time he felt free. And any captain will tell you, he was a true asset to any boat he was on. Andy was a real mamas boy, and he communicated with her often, nothing is as strong as a mothers love and he will be sorely missed by all.”
He is survived by his father: Thomas J. Kirk, mother: Myrtle S. Kirk both of Belhaven, NC; two sisters: Crissy K. Cody and husband Steve of Greenville, NC; Stephanie Kirk and friend Brian of Greenville, NC; two brothers: Timothy A Kirk of Belhaven, NC; Joseph W. Kirk of Minot, North Dakota; paternal grandmother: Gladys T. Kirk of Belhaven, NC; two nieces: Lexi Crisp and Sydney Crisp both of Greenville, NC; three nephews: Dylan Cody, Austin Cody,Tanner Crisp, a brother in law: Howie Crisp all of Greenville, NC; and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Wesley A. Kirk, Sr., maternal grandparents: Harry Filmore Sawyer and Myrtle S. Sawyer, and a brother: Thomas J. Kirk, Jr. (T.J.).

My thoughts & heart are with the both of you at this sad time. I am so sorry for yalls loss.
Even though Andy & I are cousins we first met at another family members funeral. Andy came up to me wanted to know who I was and I told him I am a cousin. Andy you left a lifelong impression on me and I will never forget you.
My heart breaks for you. It's times like this the right words are hard to find to really comfort your hurting hearts. Please know we love you and are continuing to keep you in our prayers.
