Mrs. Betty Brooks Everett, 85, a resident of Washington died Monday December 28, 2020, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

Mrs. Everett was born February 15, 1935, to the late Pearl and Thorne Brooks. She is survived by one son, Jerry Gray Everett, Sr., one daughter in-law, Peggy Everett Blake, eight grandchildren; Michael Lynn Everett, Terri Cutler Brodnick and husband Tyler, Preston Glenn Cutler, Jr., Sandy Cutler Gant and husband Ryan, Charlie Vernon Cutler and wife Hillary, Tracy Everett Rose and husband Scotty, Lisa Everett Gibbs and Jerry Gray Everett, Jr., and wife Erica, ten great grandchildren; Makayla Jones, Hadley Brodnick, Bryson Cutler, Payton Cutler, Piper Cutler, Jolene Cutler, Addison Gant, Riley Gant, Elliott Gant and Megan Gibbs. Also surviving is three siblings; Ted Brooks, Jackie Mullen and Polly Gurganus. She was predeceased by her husband Vernon Collins Everett, one son, Vernon Michael Everett, one daughter, Terry Kay Everett, daughter in-law, Betty Carol Everett, eight siblings; Earl Brooks, Calvin Brooks, Gerald Brooks, Dan Brooks, Jimmy Brooks, Helen Thorne Boyd, Audrey Dare Shields, and Brenda Humphrey.

An open visitation will be held at Joseph B. Paul Funeral Service Washington Funeral and Cremation from11:30am – 12:30pm, Saturday January 2, 2021.

A graveside funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday January 2, 2021 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens.
