Billie Jo Fields, age 52, a resident of Belhaven, NC passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC.

She was born to the late William Dewey Belvin and Charleen Faye Belvin (Murphy) on June 22, 1970. Billie Jo grew up to be a loving and caring woman who was the hub of her family; an opportunist who could make the best of any situation. She was a practical joker with a dry but contagious sense of humor that will undoubtedly leave many with a great memory.

Billie Jo was a fearless woman who was strong willed and protected her family and those she loved fiercely. When she had nothing, she gave everything, caring for everyone and everything (except spiders. There was no love for spiders). But she did love butterflies, plants, the outdoors, and all that spending time in nature with her husband had to offer.

Those left to cherish the many pictures and memories of Billie Jo are her husband Patrick Luppino with his son Michael luppino, son and daughter in law: Charles Jr. and Kennedy Fields, daughter and son in law: Megan and Derick Lamay, sister and brother in law: Crystal and Ronnie Lewis, brother: Michael Belvin, along with her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

No services are planned at this time.

Billie Jo’s loss has left her family with not just an emotional loss, but also some financial struggles. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations for the uncertain times ahead of them and can be made by CLICKING HERE

Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service is honored to be assisting Billie Jo’s family.

    Angela says:
The early days with Billie Jo ..we had our children within months of each other, lunches out, afternoons at the indoor playground, craft store excursions, afternoons spent making wreaths and all sorts of stuff for our homes. This is how I remember her…Never completely losing touch..speaking by telephone every so often, laughing at any and everything, then back to our own paths in life. I would like to think that she has found her sister, ( my mother) , on the other side. I hope they are laughing and having a grand time…free of their earthly torments. I hope that her children and long time partner will find peace and beauty in each day as they move forward with their lives….- Angela
