Brian Wesley Floyd, age 46, a resident of Belhaven, passed away of a sudden cardiac event on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021.
He was born in Washington, NC on November 17th, 1974 to Bobby Floyd and Debbie
.
Brian is survived by his mother Debbie Singleton and husband Ernie, his sisters Amanda Mason, husband Derek, of Elizabeth City, NC and Allena Hale, husband David, of Washington, NC. Also surviving is his maternal grandmother, Catherine Lawrence of Springfield, MO and his beloved cat, Booger.
He was preceded in death by father, Bobby Floyd and his faithful canine companion of 13 years, Peanut.
Brian was a graduate of Appalachian State University and Appalachian School of Law with a Doctorate Degree. He loved the North Carolina mountains and called them home for many years. He had a passion for playing his guitar and working on cars.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his memory be made to a local animal rescue or shelter of your choice.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date
