We’ve lost a good man. We were roommates and worked on the side gang together on the Bessemer from 1975-1977. We lost touch for 40 years, and reconnected 4 years ago. We talked and laughed over the phone many times, with plans to get together this winter. See you again someday, Leebee!

Doug was the love of my life. Like any couple, we had our good times and bad, but we were best friends and loved each other in spite of the obstacles. I have a hole in my heart, but have faith that he’s in heaven with my mom and they’re waiting for me when it’s my turn, whenever that may be. Love you baby.... see you again soon.
