Dwaine Lewis Waters age 56, a resident of 705 E. 7th Street, Washington , NC died at Vidant Medical Center on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 27, 2018 at River Road Church of Christ. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Dwaine was born in Beaufort County on September 20, 1962 the son of the late Nurnie Hertford Waters and Gloria Modlin Waters who survives. He believed in being family oriented, he spent the last few years caring for his mother as much as he could. Dwaine was a loyal employee of Davids Trash Service and loved every day he spent doing his job. He had a very strong work ethic and was always staying busy as lazy wasn’t in his vocabulary. In his free time he listened to music and enjoyed hanging out with his friends. On Sunday’s he could be found in church, he was a God fearing man but always told you how it was. Dwaine was so much to many and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his mother: Gloria Modlin Waters of Washington, NC; wife: Patricia Ann Sprouse Waters; a daughter: Rebecca Johnson of Goldsboro, NC; three step daughters: Carolyn Peachy West of Bath, NC; Brianna Jane Brabble of Chocowinity, NC; Tracy Peachy Curlings of Creswell, NC; a stepson: Phillip Peachy of Pinetown, NC; two sisters: Rebecca Cowen and husband Charles of Washington, NC; Della Godley and husband Sidney of Washington, NC and three grandchildren: Joseph Johnson, Whisper Johnson and Gabby Johnson.
