Elizabeth Jean Perry “Liz”, passed away too soon on January 24, 2024, at the age of 51. She was born on March 1, 1972, in Washington, NC, and battled cancer with unwavering bravery and determination until her final moments. Liz’s incredible spirit and love for life inspired all who knew her.

Liz’s short but valiant fight against an aggressive cancer served as a testament to her resilience and strength. Throughout her life, she remained steadfast in her faith, always holding onto hope. Liz firmly believed that “You gotta have faith. If you don’t have faith, you don’t have nothing.” This profound mantra guided her through the darkest of times, and her unwavering faith touched the lives of those around her.

Liz is preceded in death by her mother, Carol Jean Vick, father, Beryl Foreman, step-mother, Edith C. Foreman, step-father, Marvin Keech, brother, Beryl T Foreman Jr., sister, Ruby Casper, sister, Judy Foreman, brother, George T. Forman, sister, Hazel Kurt, brother, Jessie Foreman, grandmother, Irene Vick, and mother-in-law, Edna O’Carroll. Although they are no longer with us, their memory will forever remain in Liz’s heart.

She leaves behind a loving husband, Timothy Lee Perry, who stood by her side throughout their journey. Liz is survived by her sons; Timothy Lee Perry Jr. and Matthew Vick, her daughter Allison Pearl Perry, and her brother Billy Coward. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren; Jaden Boomer, Harmony Boomer, Trevon Boomer, Jaliel Swain, and Kylie Nevaeh, as well as her beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Liz’s remarkable life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2024, at Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service at 4:00 PM. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends and loved ones from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour. Let us gather together to remember Liz, to share stories of her resilience and love, and to find solace in the memories she leaves behind.

Elizabeth Jean Perry’s legacy will forever remain etched in our hearts. Her unwavering faith, love for her family, and her indomitable spirit will continue to inspire us. As we face the challenges of life, let us remember Liz’s words, “You gotta have faith. If you don’t have faith, you don’t have nothing.” May we carry her light with us always, finding strength in her memory and embracing each day with hope and love.
