Ella Ann Morgan, age 83 resident of Jamesville, NC passed away at The Service League Inpatient Hospice of Greenville on November 1, 2020 after a long illness.
She was born April 2, 1937 to the late Dallas and Carrie Chambers. She is survived by her daughters Rita Asby (Mike) of Jamesville and Judy Hufton (Bruce) of Gates, NC.
One granddaughter Andie Williams (Matt) of Williamston and great granddaughter Karsyn whom she loved dearly. One grandson Trent Hufton of Gates, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Morgan, an infant daughter Margaret Ann and one sister Katie Sawyer.
She is also survived by 4 sisters, Mary Gibbs, Carolyn Sullivan, Marie Russ and Doris Wallace and many nieces and nephews she loved.
Ann loved flowers especially roses, gardening, feeding and watching birds and spending time with family and friends. She also loved cooking and getting things to grow and flourish when we had given up.
Special thanks go to Betty Lou Mebane, her cousin, Carolyn Sullivan, Hattie Simpson and Maggie Mensah for their attention to mama whether to talk or stop by and help with something or a trip to a doctor appointment.
The care given by the nurses at The Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice was excellent. Many thanks go to Vanessa, Carolyn , Linda and Marian who had to make that tough phone call. Wendy you made that shower extra special and made her feel so much more rested and fresh. Extra special thanks to Tori and Kris for navigating this journey and helping with tough decisions and listening to our concerns.
Graveside service will be at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Plymouth, NC on Friday November 6th, 2020 @ 2 p.m.
