Ellis S. Leoni, 84, a resident of Chocowinity, NC, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 At ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

No services are scheduled at this time.

He was born August 29, 1938 to the late Reno and Willie May Leoni. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a brother: Donald Leoni; and a half-sister: Lucille Rose.

Ellis is survived by his wife Lida Smith Leoni; two daughters: Misty Lanning and husband Brian, Cindy Foxe; two grandsons: James Fox and wife Diamond of Pennsylvania; Jonathan Fox; a granddaughter: Victoria Fox and husband John Elliott of Pennsylvania; a great granddaughter: Ruby Fox; a niece, and countless nephews.

Ellis was a loving and dedicated family man. His unexpected passing had devastated them and left them with many expenses. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations for medical and other expenses and may be made by CLICKING HERE
