Faye Everett Waters, age 89, passed away on September 19, 2023, in Pinetown, NC. She was born on October 2, 1933. Faye had a fulfilling life, working as a nurse’s assistant and dedicating herself to being a loving homemaker and mother to her four children.

Faye had a wide range of interests and talents. She was known for her exceptional culinary skills, especially her famous collards. Faye also found joy in candy making, particularly fudge. Christmas held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the time spent with her family, decorating the house and Christmas tree.

Faye was the oldest of twelve children and had a strong bond with her large family. She was married to her sweetheart for nearly 72 years, a testament to the love they shared. Faye was preceded in death by her mother, Vonnie Everett, her father, Virgil Everett, her daughter, Dinah Klapp (surviving husband James), and her son, Ernest Waters Jr.

Faye will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends, including her beloved husband, Ernest Waters Sr., her daughter, Myra Strickland, and her son, Kenneth Waters (wife Lolita). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

    Jade Harris says:
Faye was an important part of Vonnie and Virgil's family. She left the family at a young age, but was always important to them all. She was a hard worker and a good wife and mother. She had some really hard times in her life but she aways held on and kept her family encouraged. She was a good person and a true lady.
