Frances Carolyn Whittle Gantt Alligood, 92, a resident of Bath, NC passed peacefully at Ridgewood Rehabilitation & Living Center on November 11, 2022.

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the Joseph B. Paul, Jr. Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Pastor Chris Hux. Burial will follow at Pamlico Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service one hour prior to the service.

Frances was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a member of Athens Chapel Church of Christ and the Order Eastern Star. Frances will be remembered as a responsible, attentive, gentle person, spending over 20 years as a caregiver.

Frances was born October 11, 1930, at Andalusia, AL and is predeceased by parents, Jodie and Lena Whittle, brother, Walter, husbands Mack Gantt, William Thomas “Dick” Alligood and daughter, Karen Tetterton. Survivors include Alisa Alligood, daughter of Bath, Alana Harrell, granddaughter of Chicago, Ethan Whichard, grandson of Washington, Jack Alligood, brother-in- law of Belhaven, and a host of nieces and nephews.
