George “Boston” Asby age 76, a resident of Washington, NC died on Friday, May 27, 2021at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Joseph B. Paul, Jr & Washington Funeral and Cremation.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
Joseph B. Paul, Jr. & Wash Funeral and Cremation are serving the Asby family.

George was born in Beaufort County on September 21, 1944 the son of the late James Thomas Asby and Frances Elizabeth Apple Asby.

George known as “Boston” to his family and friends, was a quiet and gentle soul. He would give you the shirt off his back if he knew that you needed it. Boston loved to fish. He and his fishing buddies were often referred to as “The Three B’s”, Boston, Bum and Buster. Boston never had children but thought of Bobby Asby, Jr. as his own. We love and miss you.

He is survived by a sister: Sue Ipock and husband Elton of Washington, four brothers: Mack Asby and wife Argie of Washington, Billy Asby and wife Anita of Plymouth, J.T. Asby and wife Christine of Washington and Snuffy Asby of Bath. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Asby.
