Harold Garner Boyd, 88, a resident of Washington, NC went to his heavenly father Tuesday, March 16, 2021. He was born December 27, 1932 to the late Media Asby Boyd & Clyde M. Boyd in Beaufort County, NC. Harold served his country in the United States Navy and retired after 24 years of service. He also retired after 10 years of service as captain from the NC Department of Transportation (Ferry Division). Harold was a member of Alligood Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian A. Boyd, two daughters: Angela T. Bell and husband Randy, Hope Pitts and husband Kenny all of Washington, one sister inlaw, Verne Rae Boyd of Washington, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by three brothers: Clyde M. Boyd, Wayne Nelson Boyd, Wendell Dewey Boyd and a son: Lonnie Mark Tetterton.
