James Edward Humphrey, age 85, a resident of Bath, NC, passed away at his home Thursday, January 13, 2022.
He was born August 31, 1936 in Marion County, Kentucky to the late Gilbert and Lula (Byrd) Humphrey.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother and father; a sister: Anna Margaret (Humphrey) Elliott; and three brothers: Virgil, Harold, and Tommy Humphrey.
He is survived by his wife Eleanor; a daughter: Debra Woolard and husband Keenan of Bath, NC; and a brother: William “Joe” Joseph Humphrey, and a number of nephews, nieces, and close friends
A visitation will be held Tuesday January 18, 2022, 1:00 pm with a Memorial service to be held at 2:00 pm at Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Home.
Donations can be made in James’s name to your local DART team, c/o Kent Gurganus, at 243 Bowen Rd, Bath NC 27808.
