Jesse “Ray” Vann, Sr. of Washington North Carolina went to see the lord on January 19, 2020 after battling lung cancer.
Funeral Services are 1:00 PM Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Washington Assembly of God officiated by Pastor Daniel Haskett. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Washington Assembly of God.
He was born in Franklin, Virginia on April 20, 1947 he lived in Virginia and North Carolina. During his life Ray worked as a painter for the last 30 years of his life before retiring. He loved having family gatherings looking up genealogy fishing with grand kids and grilling on the grill, he loved music and spending time with grandchildren.
Ray is survived by his wife of 36 years Donna Lynn Vann of Washington, his daughter: America Michelle Vann “Sissy” Of Greenville, North Carolina, his son: Jesse Ray Vann Junior “Bubba” and his wife: Krystal Vann of Grimesland North Carolina; his daughter Julia Joelle Reyes and husband Mario Reyes Of Washington, North Carolina. Ray is survived by seven grandchildren: Carmela Garcia, Malik Pollard, Ethan Vann, Kaitlyn Cristian, Kenley and Juliette Reyes and three great grandchildren: Jayden and Aaliyah Goddard and Elijah Pollard and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother: Flossie Mae Worrell and Alfred Odium Vann by a sister: Diane Vann and brother: Ricky Vann.
