Jimmy Gray Chandler, age 79, a resident of Chocowinity, NC passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021. He was born April 28, 1941 to the late Annie Harding Chandler and Allie Eural Chandler in Beaufort County, NC. Jimmy worked as a painter and carpenter with Texas Gulf / PCS for 23 years, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed woodworking and music. Jimmy played gospel music twice a month in his workshop but most of all he enjoyed his family and friend gatherings. He is survived by his wife, Edith Price Chandler of the home, three daughters: Beverly C. Brinn and husband Warren of Pinetown, NC; Lisa C. Ledford and husband Steve of TN and Jacque Chandler of SC; two grandchildren: Kelly B. Pinkham and husband Dustin of Bath, NC; and Nathan Brinn of MD; one great granddaughter Isabella Pinkham of Bath, NC; two sisters: Joan Bogan and husband Bret of Pinetown, NC; and Ann Von Alma and husband Bill of Washington, NC. In addition to his parents Jimmy was predeceased by one son, Scott Chandler, two brothers: Autry Chandler and Gilford (Buddy) Chandler. A celebration of the life of Jimmy will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Joseph B. Paul, Jr. & Washington Funeral & Cremation. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
