Kenneth Ray Jones, Jr. age 42 a resident of 1295 Horse Pen Swamp Road, Washington, NC died on Monday, August 3, 2020.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Woolard Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Biggerstaff,Chase Carroll,Larry Ball, Sam Wilkerson, Stephen Hartley and James Deans. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Pearl Ingalls located at 4345 Market Street Ext. Washington or his mothers home at 5754 River Creek Drive, Washington, NC.
Kenny was born on April 11, 1978 in Beaufort County the son of the late Kenneth Ray Jones and Sylvia Williams Edwards who survives. He had a great love for fishing and especially when he was accompanied by his son Kenneth III which often went with him. Kenneth enjoyed talking on his CB radio where his handle was “Big Show” a name he got from his resemblance to the famous WWE wrestler Paul Wight. Cooking and entertaining people where Kenny was known for his wit and making people laugh was another of his favorite past times. He will be truly missed by his friends and family.
Kenneth is survived by his wife: Christy Jones of Washington; three sons: Austin Jones, Kenneth Jones III, Tyler Jones all of Washington; mother and father: Sylvia and Johnny Edwards, two sisters: Kristie Edson (Charlie) of Washington; Jessie Mae Edwards of Washington; granddaughter: Addison Lily’Ann Jones, two nieces: Tasia Griffin, Olivia West, two nephews: Doug Banks, Chris West and sister in law: Kathy Banks. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Alice Pearl Jones.
