Lacy Caleb Williams, IV

Lacy Caleb Williams, IV, a resident of Washington, NC passed away at Vidant Medical Center Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was born March 5, 1959 to the late Nancy Smith Williams and Lacy C. Williams, III in Beaufort County, NC.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, April 9, 2021 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens with Pastor Delmas Ayers officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:00 am ~ 12:00 pm Friday, April 9, 2021 at Joseph B. Paul, Jr. & Washington Funeral & Cremation. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm, Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the home of his brother, Steve.

Lacy worked for 25 years with his brother, Steve Williams, and most recently served as foreman with Tyco Land Development Inc for the last 8 years. Lacy also served as a certified member of the Sydney
Search and Rescue Dive Team from 2004 – 2009. Lacy helped with multiple missions and became a
Professional Dive Master in 2007. Lacy logged over 500 dives in the course of his dive service. Lacy
certainly loved the adventure of diving and service to his community, but more importantly the lifelong
friendships he developed with the team members met along the way. He enjoyed wildlife, the
outdoors, and would spend his spare time fishing, canoeing, “piddling” in his barn, and adding to his
many collections of bottles, tools, plumb bobs, arrowheads, or anything else he thought was unique.
Lacy valued the simple things in life and cherished family time and a good ole laugh. Lacy is loved
beyond measure. His nieces and nephews held a very special place in his heart. He will be greatly
missed by his fur babies, Reesie and Buddy, along with his many cherished friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Rita Kay Williams, one son, Michel Starnes (Jessica Goldenstein), four sisters: Dortress Ann Harris and husband Ken, Miriam “Libbie” Everette and husband Dale, Valinda Pinkham and husband Troy, Tracy Ann Rushing and husband Danny, one brother: Stephen “Steve” Williams and wife Dara Harper Williams.

In addition to his parents Lacy was preceded in death by his brother Johnny Wayne Williams.
