Myra Marie Alligood, age 69 of 825 Betsy Elbow Road Washington NC, passed away at her home on December 5, 2020.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, 1pm at the Alligood / Woolard Family Cemetery located on Lloyd’s Lane in Washington, NC.
Myra was born on August 31, 1951 the daughter of the late William Gerald Boyd and Marie Ambrose Boyd. She was a member of the Alligood Church of God. She worked for sixteen years with Vidant Behavioral Health until retiring due to declining health. Myra was a loving wife and mother and doted on her grandson Tyler. She was enthusiastic about all outdoor activities and had an exceptional fondness for the Christmas holiday, and the preparations that accompanied it.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years Kenneth Ray Alligood of the home; a son: Rodney Alligood, and wife Tammy of Washington, NC; a brother William Gerald Boyd and wife Sheila of Bath, NC; and grandson Tyler Alligood.
She was preceded in death by a step-grandson J.C. Hinds
