Mrs. Hill was born in Chowan County to the late Nonnie and William Edward Smith. She is survived by her children Melinda Mills of the home, Mike Hill (Brenda), Kay Lee, and William Allen Hill (Glenda), 11 Grandchildren, Tammy Cutler (Kevin), Tony Mills (Jennifer), Wayne Mills (Kim), Kevin Hill (Sammi Jo) , Dawn Ramirez (Mo), Courtney Hill, Caitlin Barrow (Josh), Melissa and Thomas Thurman, Kitty Hedgepeth (Eddie), and Jr. Mills (Carla), 19 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Hill loved to read, paint, draw, and fish. Before her health started to fail, she would get up every morning and greet the household pet Maxi, the turtle, and feed him every morning. The cat of over 20 years, “Black Cat” was her protector and would guard her bed by laying beside her whenever someone would go into her room.
The Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Home Life Care, Capps program, and Community Home Care and Hospice for the care that was provided in her time of need.
Mrs. Hill’s last request was for all her family and friends to “go to church, and become Christians so they too could go home to be with Jesus one day.”
Flowers are appreciated, and can be sent to the home or memorial contributions may be made to Woodard’s Pond Church of Christ PO Box 1302 Washington, NC 27889.

I can honesty say my Grandma was the sweetest, most honest, and loving, person I had ever met. She and mom never missed an event I had when I was a kid, I could always count on her cheering me on from the football stands or getting a good laugh when I picked on mom. Grandma is going to be missed by so many now, but it helps to know she was 100% ready and knew what was waiting for her. See you in my dreams, love you always
