Mrs. Jefferson was born in Hyde County on November 22,1943 the daughter of the late Ellis O. Gibbs and Nancy Sanderson Gibbs. She married Millard Earl Jefferson, Sr. her husband of 36 years who preceded her in death in 2012. Although Nancy is no longer with us, she leaves her family, friends, and loved ones with many fond memories that will endure the test of time. Whether she was in the kitchen cooking her favorite meals for occasions both big and small, crafting unique, one-of-a-kind mementos, or reading the latest true crime novels, those around Nancy could always count on her beautiful, warm smile, and her positive attitude, to lift their spirits. Throughout her life, Nancy always welcomed others with open arms no matter who they were or how well she knew them. She always listened, and she wasn’t afraid to share her thoughts in an effort to help and support those around her. She will be remembered in many different ways, but above all else, it is perhaps her unconditional love and the joy she spread that will ensure her memory lives on.
“Until we meet again, may God bless you as he has blessed me.”
