Obe Worthington, Jr., 80, of Chocowinity, passed away March 24, 2021 at the Vidant Inpatient Hospice of Greenville, NC.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2021, 3:00 pm at the Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Chocowinity, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the funeral hour at the church. Burial will follow at Gorham Swamp PFWB Church Cemetery, Hwy 102, Chocowinity, NC.

He was born on August 4, 1940 to Obe and Betty Cannon Worthington in Craven County, NC. He was a member of Union Chapel FWB Church. Obe owned and operated Do-All Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning for over 40 years. He was a member of Union Chapel FWB Church. He enjoyed his work and helping people.

Obe is survived by his wife Joyce Worthington, one son: Obe Glenn Worthington and wife Pam of Chocowinity, NC, three grandchildren: Ben Worthington and wife Mary of Winterville, NC, Rebecca Worthington of Massachusetts and Tristin Paszt and husband Blake of Washington, NC; Great-grandson, H. Cooper Worthington, two sisters: Judy Haddock of Ayden, NC and Betty Lou Stancill of Greenville, NC.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son: Gregory S. Worthington and a brother: McDonald Worthington.

Joseph B. Paul, Jr & Washington Funeral & Cremation are handling the arrangements for the Worthington family.
