Patty Lynn Rowe, age 42, a resident of Washington, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, at her home after a long illness.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
She was born on August 29, 1979 to the late Danny and Terri (Ives) Rowe in Beaufort County, NC where she lived, graduating from Northside High School and attending Beaufort County Community College.
Along with her parents, Patty was also preceded in death by her grandmother Betty Ives.
Patty is survived by her brother: William Montague III, uncle and aunt: Mr. and Mrs. James Rowe, Sister: Amy Walker Abbott, 2nd mother: Ruth Cox, cousins: Karen Phillips and Eileen, three nieces Taniyah Taylor-Montague, Charlene King Arianna King, nephew: Romeo Taylor-Montague, her faithful companion and pet dog Jimin and other friends and family.
Patty maintained a very close circle of friends, and all of them would be familiar with the phrase “I purple you”.
She was a bright soul, full of light, and purple. Also, purple is the last color on the rainbow, and follows after all other colors, much like she did with the family she helped care for. There were three generations of too-alike women under one roof -her grandmother and mother- all taken care of by Patty.
She attended baking classes and loved learning in general. She liked K-pop and Korean culture, specifically the band BTS. She was outgoing and friendly and was a fan of video games and technology.
She will be missed greatly.
