Pete Tom Holland Jr, a man of wit and charm, bid his final farewell on August 15, 2023, at the age of 81. Born on April 1, 1942, in Washington, NC, Pete’s vibrant presence will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Throughout his life, Pete wore many hats, each one adding a unique layer to the tapestry of his existence. He served his country with honor, dedicating years of service to the Navy before embarking on a new adventure as a retiree from National Spinning. Never one to rest on his laurels, Pete also dabbled in landscaping, adding a touch of beauty to the world around him.
Pete had an infectious zest for life, always eager to reconnect with old friends and relive the glory days. Class reunions were his playground, where stories of youthful escapades and mischievous antics were retold with laughter and nostalgia.
In Pete’s heart, family played an essential role. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Holland; his father, Pete Tom Holland Sr; his daughter Anna Holland; his sister, Dora Gwendolyn Holland; his niece, Melanie Ball Everette. Their memories will forever be cherished.
Pete leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories. His son, Jeremy Holland (Sandra), and sister, Joan Holland Ball, will carry his spirit forward, ensuring that his wit and charm are never forgotten. His grandchildren, Julianna Holland, Pete Holland, Jasmine Dunlap, Joseph Hackett, Alexis Colvin, A.J. Baker, Aries Hollister; step-children, Jennifer Perry (Andrew) and Jason Davis and four great-grandchildren will forever hold his laughter and wisdom dear to their hearts.
As we say our goodbyes to Pete, let us celebrate the remarkable life he lived. Though he may have left this world, his spirit will continue to inspire and bring smiles to those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
