Reuben Guy Mayo Jr., age 80 a resident of Beaufort County, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 peacefully at home.

Guy and Jeanette married in 1962 and resided in Beaufort County most of their married life with their children Robbie and Jimmy. He was a residential/commercial developer and auto dealership owner. His passion for God took him on missions all over the world including Guatemala, Africa, India, Haiti and Indonesia. Guy spent his twilight years doing what he loved-spending time tinkering with his treasures and antique cars down at his barn.

He is survived by his wife Jeanette Mayo, daughter Robbie Mayo, and granddaughters Kristian Mayo, Taylor Farrell, Alexa Burnett, Gabby Mayo, his great grandchildren, Zavien Bohling, Journey Bohling, and Mariella Mayo, Margeaux Farrell, Isla Farrell, and Hudson Burnett. Guy was the oldest of three children, leaving behind two siblings, Carolyn Mayo and Gray Mayo. Guy was preceded in death by his father, Reuben Guy Mayo Sr., his mother, Pearl Mayo, and son Jimmy Mayo, who died July 15, 2019.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service of Washington, NC is honored to serve the Mayo family.
