Rabon Earl Clemmons, son of Alton B. Clemmons Sr. and Annie Pearl Hunt Clemmons was born on March 5, 1942 in Enfield, North Carolina. Rabon, age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2021.

Rabon was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Pearl Clemmons.

He is survived by a devoted family that includes his children, Mike and Annette Clemmons of Pinetown, North Carolina, Becky Mosley of Washington, North Carolina, Bonnie and Alan Robbins of Tarboro, North Carolina, Tony and Jami Clemmons of Newport, North Carolina, Demetrius Clemmons of Fredericksburg, Virginia, bonus children; Donterika Brown of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Matthew Brown of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Pearl Ingalls of Washington, North Carolina; brothers, Junior Clemmons of Wilson, North Carolina, Ronnie Clemmons (Shirley) of Elm City, North Carolina, Frank Clemmons (Edith) of Enfield, North Carolina, Wayne Clemmons (Rebecca) of Smithfield, North Carolina; sisters, Betty Coleen Jones of Enfield, North Carolina and Gail Alexander of Enfield, North Carolina; grandchildren, Logan and Alyssa Robbins of Tarboro, North Carolina and Samuel Clemmons of Newport, North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Rabon was many things to many people but to us he was Daddy, Pop, Granddaddy, or Pops. He was a hard working man and worked as long as his body allowed him. He had a love for family, Pepsi, hats, football, and wood working.

Dontericka, Matthew, and Demetrius said that he wasn’t only a father but a magician, comedian, or anything you needed. What makes him special is how unmatched and devoted his love for us was. He always, always put us first and never treated any of us differently from our other siblings. He was simply a true father in the realest sense. “Pops” was a clever man and we’re happy to say that some of it rubbed off on us. One thing we have taken after him is “resting my eyes” while watching television.

Rabon will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
