Mr. Squires was born September 21, 1973, to Betty Sprouse Russ and Gene Timothy Squires.
Robert attended Northside High School through the ninth grade. Once he became of age to obtain his CDL license, he began driving 18 wheelers. He worked as a long-distance truck driver for most of his adult life. He had a love for a Kenworth 18-wheeler and was happiest behind the wheel hauling loads all over the country. Robert never met a stranger, he treated everyone he met like they were already his friends and if they needed a helping hand, he was all too happy to help if possible. He enjoyed joking around and be the life of the party, he will truly be missed by many.
Robert was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Robert Spouse Sr. and Mary Jane Sprouse; Uncles Cary “Sweet Pea” Edward Sprouse, William “Pinky” Franklin Sprouse, Mason Clayton Sprouse Sr, and Benny Ray “Wild boy” Sprouse.
Mr. Squires is survived by three children, daughters: Kayla Gray Beatty of Jamesville and Robin Lee Squires of Washington, and his son Brandon Lee Squires of Washington, mother Betty Sprouse Russ of the home, and father Gene Timothy Squires of Chocowinity, granddaughter Hensley Mae Haley along with many uncles, aunts, cousins and his dog Buddy.
A memorial service will planned at a later date. Close friends and family will be notified of date, time, and location.
