Roy Preston Morris, Jr. age 43, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Saturday, October 13, 2018 at his home.
The family will hold a private memorial service.
Roy was born in Craven County on September 5, 1975 the son of Roy Preston Morris, Sr. and Sadie Ann Morris
He enjoyed getting together with his friends at Crystal Beach where they would sing and just relax and have fun. Roy liked fishing, cooking and was known for his exceptional cooking especially his great tasting seafood. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need to the point of even giving them the shirt of his back if needed. Most of all he loved his family and many friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew him.
Along with his parents: Roy and Sadie Morris of Chocowinity, NC, he is survived by one son: Jacob Allen Morris of Chocowinity, NC; a brother: Albert Lee Morris and wife Katherine of Vanceboro, NC and a niece Morgan Gael Morris.

    I have known Roy since middle school. Always had a smile and a joke to tell. Sad to hear of his passing. He would visit my boyfriend and I frequently when we lived in Bridgeton a couple years ago. Always kept us laughing.
