Shirley, I did not know your son but I do know you and remember your beautiful family that were such dear people in our church family at Cashie. Shelton was a Viet Nam veteran and passed away in February 2020 and my heart always goes out to our veterans. Jeremy is now resting and at peace and paid a full price for his service and I praise God for such strong men as he must have been and a son you will always be very proud of for serving his country. God bless you and your family in your loss and acceptance of his homecoming.

I would always call Jeremy my NC brother whenever I saw him at work, being that I'm from NC as well. We always seemed to understand each other, even when other's didn't. We would say it's a NC thang. Jeremy was a great battle buddy and friend. Easy to talk with and got along with the other guys in the unit. Although, you will be greatly missed. Rest easy my Carolina brother. No more pain and no more suffering.
