Shirley Katherine “Kathy” Perry age 67 a resident of 2780 Popular Point Road, Williamston, NC died at her home on Friday, May 1, 2020.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00 PM Saturday, May 9, 2020 at her home.
She was born in Martin County on April 17, 1953 the daughter of the late Benjamin Eugene Griffin and Dorothy Coltrain Griffin. Kathy was a beloved God fearing woman, wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and sister. She worked at Westpoint Pepperell for 25 years as a supervisor of the dye department. Kathy was a member of the Hamilton Church of Christ for 45 years. She loved being a mother, grandmother which she doted on and a wife in which she was married 38 years to her husband, Grover “Cleve” Cleveland Perry until his passing and whom she greatly missed for the remainder of her life. Now they are back together looking down on us, she would expect everyone to remember her, not be sad, keep her memory alive and, to take care of everyone.
Kathy is survived by a daughter: Kristy Michelle Perry of Williamston, NC; a brother: Grover Cleve Perry, Jr. of Williamston, NC; two sisters: Linda Griffin, Avis Long and husband Roy all of Williamston, NC; sister in law: Cecilia Griffin of Georgia; three grandchildren: Malik Perry, Javany Perry, Christopher Jenkins and great- grandchild: Luciano Perry.. Along with her husband Cleve Perry she was preceded in death by a brother: William Griffin and a sister: Dean Griffin.
