Sidney Warren Cooper, age 50, went to be with the Lord suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Washington.

The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00am until the service hour.

Sidney was born on July 5, 1972 to Charles Warren and Ramona (Guthrie) Ball in Washington, NC.
On July 2, 1995, she married the love of her life, the late Gregory “Greg” Marion Cooper. She was a woman who had a strong faith in the Lord and lived and loved each day to the best of her ability. Sidney was not only a mom to her children, but to all others as well; she cared for everybody. Like many, she loved the river, boating, driving around, tennis and thunderstorms. There wasn’t a time that she couldn’t be found singing or dancing. Unlike many, Sidney was simply happy; a comedian, someone who could make anyone laugh.

Her children: Ethan, Waylon, Mollie, and Winston will tell you that “she was the best mother ever” and that they “couldn’t have had a better one”. She was a sports mom who lived for her kids. She was not only the best mom, but she was a good friend.

Along with her children and her bonus daughter Alaina Moore, Sidney is survived by her father and stepmother: Charles and Elaine Warren, mother: Ramona Ball, brother and sister-in-law: Charles and Jeannie Warren, brother and sister-in-law: Casey and Allyson Warren, Sister: Samantha Warren Moore and Jeremy Hughes, stepsister and step-brother-in-law: Alison and Brett Gantt, stepbrother Nick Bartczak and Elise Marrero, and many nieces and nephews.

Sidney’s passing has been devastating to her family, especially her four young children whose father passed away just 4 years ago.   In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to help the children and those caring for them with bills, costs of moving, school, and just growing up.  All donations are greatly appreciated and may be made by CLICKING HERE

Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service is honored to be assisting the Cooper family.
