Susie Ball Harris age 82, a resident of Washington, NC, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens.
Family visitation will be Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Joseph B. Paul, Jr. Funeral Service.

Susie was born October 5, 1940 in Beaufort County the daughter of the late Johnny A. Ball and Beulah Mae Ball.

Susie was a beloved wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She touched many hearts throughout her life. Susie was known for her kind heart, hugs, kisses, and had a smile that could make any day better. She also had a very special love for her job. Daycare was her passion which she did for 44 years of her life. During her years of childcare Susie touched many families, not only was she their daycare provider but she was a friend and grandmother to all of them. She treated each one of her kids as if they were her own. Her kids looked up to her as Gma. Through these years she was also a friend and mentor for the parents. Susie treated everyone with such kindness and love. She could brighten anyone’s day. In Susie’s pastimes, she enjoyed beach trips, shopping, spending time with family, and loving on her cats. Susie also loved flowers which she always had some blooming in the yard and a vase in her kitchen. She loved everyone and they all will miss her dearly.

Susie is survived by husband: Jasper “Jack” Gray Harris, Jr., daughter: Karen H. Harrison of Washington. NC; son: Tony W. Harris and special friend Katrina Chrismon of Pinetown, NC; sister: Beulah “Snooks” Woolard of Washington, NC; two granddaughters: Crystal A. Lebel, Shannon R. Suarez, three grandsons: Derrick A. Asby, Gage Warner, Austin G. Harris, great-granddaughter: London G. Lebel, great-granddaughter: Haven L. Lebel, great-grandson: Trenton J. Lebel, great-granddaughter: Peyton R. Suarez, great-grandson: Asher N. Suarez, great-grandson: Ryder J. Suarez: great-grandson: Phoenix T. Warner, special niece/caregiver: Brenda Brann and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister: Helen Vick, two brothers: Jimmie Ball, Clarence Ball and grandson: Anthony W. Harris.
