William Dallas “Dal” Tetterton, age 78, a resident of Bath, passed away on Monday October 18, 2021 at his home.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the St. Clair’s Church of Christ officiated by Craig Hagen. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour at the church. Pallbearers will be Chris Tetterton, Cody Huber, Patrick Tetterton, Stephen Poole, Ron Moore, Reese Cockman and Mike Elzey.

Dal was born in Beaufort County on March 24, 1943 the son of the late Jesse C. Tetterton and Bessie Foskey Tetterton. He was a graduate of Bath High School with the the class of 1961. On September 7, 1962 he married the former Kay Frances Burbage. In May of 1965 he became a member of St. Clair’s Church of Christ.
Dal was employed with Texas Gulf now known Nutrien where he retired as a foreman after 32 years of service in 1997. He was a farmer and well known for his mechanical and construction abilities. He spent many hours helping with the new renovations of St. Clair’s Church. Dal enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing with his friends and family. Many hours were spent at The Camp with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife: Kay B. Tetterton of the home, a daughter: Lisa Huber and husband Danny of Smithfield, NC; a son: Chris Tetterton and wife Casey of Angier, NC; five grandchildren: Amanda Walters and husband Chris, Cody Huber and wife Haley, Dallas Tetterton, Dawson Tetterton and Davis Tetterton, two greatchildren: Noah Oman and Hannah Claire Huber, two brothers: Earl Tetterton and wife Lois, Ray Tetterton and wife Gail all of Pinetown, NC; a sister; Lucinda Poole and husband Steve of Belhaven, NC. and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to St. Clair’s Church of Christ Building Fund c/o 9814 NC Hwy 99 S. Bath NC 27808.
