Zeno M. Everette Jr., age 90, a resident of Vanceboro, NC passed away at his home on Friday, August 19, 2022.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday August 23, 2022 at 11:00am at the Asbury United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00am until the service hour at the church.

Mr. Everette was born on April 10, 1932 the son of the late Zeno M. Everette, Sr. and Florence Boyd Everette. He graduated from Washington High School and later served his country in the United States Army from 1950 to 1954. Zeno graduated from the Naval Apprentice School then went on to become an airplane Mechanic. He worked in maintenance at Cherry Point until retiring in 1992 after 35 years of service as facility maintenance supervisor. Zeno was a former owner of Old Fort Shores Mobile Home Park. He enjoyed woodworking and was a skilled carpenter, he had a great love for animals and loved traveling here and abroad. In recent years he enjoyed traveling with the JOY group.  He adopted and cared for Death Valley burros, had goats, turkeys, dogs and cats it’s safe to say he loved all animals.

Zeno is survived by his loving wife Carol H. Everette of Vanceboro, NC; Zeno M. Everette III of Vanceboro, NC and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Craven County Hospice / Craven County Health Department Foundation c/o P.O Drawer 12610 New Bern, NC 28561
